I recently stayed at the newly opened JW Marriott Anaheim and was impressed by its location and design. The short walk to Disneyland makes it an excellent choice for families and visitors who want easy park access. The property feels modern and upscale without being pretentious, and the details around the resort create a welcoming atmosphere.
The hotel’s design aims to nourish body and spirit, and that intent shows in comfortable public spaces, well-appointed guest rooms, and thoughtful landscaping. Staff interactions during my stay were warm and helpful, which made the weekend feel relaxed and enjoyable.

JW Marriott Anaheim Hotel Lobby
The lobby, located on the second floor, is open, bright and inviting. A large reception desk handles check-in efficiently, and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. Seating areas and the overall layout make it easy to relax or meet with family before heading out for the day.
What Is Parking Like at JW Marriott Anaheim?
Parking at the resort is valet only. I appreciated the convenience of texting the number provided by staff when I was ready for my car; the vehicle was waiting within about five minutes. Valet service makes arrivals and departures smoother, especially after a long day at the parks.

JW Marriott Anaheim Guest Room
My two-queen guest room was bright and comfortable, with clean lines and modern finishes. The beds were soft and cozy, and the bathroom sparkled. Large windows provide pleasant views and let in plenty of natural light, making the room feel fresh and airy. It was an easy space to return to after a full day exploring.
Can I Use My Annual Pass For A Discount At JW Marriott Anaheim?
The hotel indicated plans to offer a discount for Annual Passholders. Details were not finalized at the time of my visit, so check with the property for updated information if you hold a pass.
Bathroom and Amenities
The bathroom was spacious, with a generous shower and good lighting—comfortable for two people getting ready. Fixtures and finishes felt modern and well maintained, adding to the overall positive impression of the room.

JW Marriott Anaheim Pool Area
Although I didn’t swim during this visit, the pool area looks stunning. The space includes cabanas available for reservation and ample seating around the pool. It feels like a resort-quality amenity that would be a welcome retreat after time in the parks.

Dining at JW Marriott Anaheim
Dining at the hotel was a highlight. We sampled several dishes prepared by the resort’s award-winning chef and everything was excellent. Standouts included a fresh Caprese salad, a well-made homemade pizza, and savory meatballs served over polenta. The chef stopped by to chat and explained some of the menu choices, which added a personal touch to the experience.

JW Gardens
The JW Gardens area is a peaceful highlight of the property. Wander through serene landscaping and handcrafted art displays, including delicate butterfly installations. The garden creates a calming contrast to the busy energy of the nearby parks and is worth a stroll during your stay.

I also appreciated seeing fresh herbs used in the restaurant’s dishes—it’s a small detail that made the flavors pop and reinforced the hotel’s focus on quality ingredients.
This hotel is an excellent choice for a Disneyland visit. After a busy day on Buena Vista Street and Downtown Disney, returning to a comfortable room and peaceful grounds felt just right. I’m looking forward to another stay.
