So Much News: Today’s Top Stories You Need to Know

Free For All Cooking

I’ve just returned from a whirlwind New England trip that capped an exciting week for everyone at Jules Gluten Free.

Where to begin?

I started in Boston speaking at the Healthy Baking Seminar, where I addressed bakers and industrial baking manufacturers from across the country and around the world. I spoke about the gluten-free market and the expectations of gluten-free consumers for quality and safety in products.

Next, I did a book signing for my newly released book, Free for All Cooking, at Natural Products Expo East. While at Expo East I filmed several short videos highlighting exciting new gluten-free products and flavors you’ll soon find on store shelves. I’ll post those videos as quickly as I can, so stay tuned.

I also joined Beth Hillson of Gluten-Free Pantry to speak to the Shoreline Gluten-Free Group in Clinton, Connecticut. Our talk aimed to debunk common myths about the gluten-free diet—an appropriately subtle Halloween theme. Beth kindly hosted me that evening; we spent a lovely night swapping baking stories and catching up. She sent me home with some delicious “breakfast cookies,” and I left her a jar of homemade gluten-free granola—everyone won.

Throughout my travels the 2010 Thanksgiving e-Book kept circulating among friends, spreading Thanksgiving inspiration and helping everyone get into the spirit. At the same time, my new bread mix was released with a special introductory offer, and I launched this new gluten-free blog.

It was a busy and rewarding stretch. I hope you enjoy this blog and the recipes and baking tips I share here—please share your own recipes too, so we can all continue to improve gluten-free baking together. I’m looking forward to what comes next!
