I decided to try a sweet-and-salty twist by adding bacon. Do bacon and chocolate belong together? These cookies say yes. They’re quick to make and require no mixer, so they’re perfect when you want a simple, standout cookie.
This recipe is also a handy way to use the rest of a bacon pack after breakfast.

Ingredients
- 1 and ½ Sticks Butter Softened
- ¾ Cup Light Brown Sugar
- ½ Cup White Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ¼ Teaspoon Salt
- 2 and ¼ Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 2 Teaspoons Cornstarch
- 7 Slices Bacon Cooked crisp and roughly chopped
- 2 Cups Chocolate Chips

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cream the softened butter with the brown and white sugars until light and fluffy.

Stir in the eggs, vanilla, and salt, then add baking soda and cornstarch.

Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the chopped bacon and chocolate chips.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake 8–10 minutes, until edges are set but centers remain soft.

Cool on the pan for 3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
