Latest Updates and Our Winner Revealed

For months I kept meaning to update my About and Links pages. I revised them constantly in my head, imagined the new wording, and pictured the updated lists of favorite blogs. But when it came to actually sitting down and making the changes, other priorities always won: a new blog post to finish, photos to edit, or time-sensitive tasks that felt more important than a “back page.”

It wasn’t pure procrastination—more a matter of practical time management. When I finally clicked through to my About page, though, I was mortified. The page still described me as the mother of one toddler who was two years old. That child is nearly four now, and since writing that bio I’ve welcomed a second child into our family. Realizing my About page no longer reflected who I am and where my blog is now pushed me to finally make the updates.

The Links page needed attention too. I found many favorite blogs missing and some sites still listed that no longer publish regularly. Links pages are meant to be helpful resources, and an outdated list doesn’t serve readers or the creators I want to highlight. Updating those pages felt overdue—both to present a useful, accurate resource and to properly showcase the writers and sites I follow.

I’ve now revised both pages to better reflect current content, interests, and the blogs I enjoy reading. On the About page I updated family details, my blog focus, and a clearer statement about what readers can expect from future posts. On the Links page I tried to include the blogs and sites I visit most often while removing inactive or irrelevant links. If you browse the Links list and notice a site you love that I missed, please send me a quick email so I can add it. I tried to be thorough, but it’s easy to overlook favorites in a long, crowded field of excellent blogs.

Keeping pages like About and Links current is part of good blog maintenance. Fresh, accurate information helps new visitors understand who I am and what this site offers. A well-maintained Links page also supports the broader blogging community by directing readers to thoughtful, reliable content creators. I aim to update these pages more regularly going forward so they remain useful and up to date.
